Foreman – Aerial Technician / Telecommunications Rigger

 We have a permanent opportunity for a Foreman Aerial Technician Rigger to join our team in Elmira, Ontario.

Essential Skills/Responsibilities:

  • At least 4 years of industry experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise with telecommunication tower erection including, but not limited to, the following:
    • Antenna and transmission line systems and installation on towers, roof-tops and other structures;
    • construction skills, rigging, and safety;
    • Installing new guyed towers, self-support towers, monopoles, tripoles, custom designed towers, clock towers, etc. from ground to completion of various heights.
    • Supporting structures for services and lines like waveguide bridges, cable trays, and underground cable route using designed conduits etc.;
    • Installing and maintaining various associated hardware and equipment related to antennas, transmission lines, tower lighting, and grounding systems.
    • Performing all general ground duties associated with tower construction and equipment shelter;
    • Knowledge of tower maintenance process and maintaining respective codes;
    • Familiarity with winch, rope and block hoisting;
  • Job related certifications-safety, rescue, CPR, Site Master, and connector attachment;
  • Good computer, communication and organizational skills;
  • Able to read and interpret site plans, blue prints and assembly/installation drawings;
  • Adherence to safety standards is critical, i.e., a working knowledge and provision of all safety and quality control requirements at job sites, installation and fall protection practices, and regulations and procedures for crew;
  • Must be comfortable working at heights;
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to bend and lift 50 lbs.
  • Able to present a professional image at all times.
  • Valid A-Restricted or AZ driver’s license.

Additional Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • Ability to oversee the daily operations at assigned sites;
  • Provide leadership, guidance and actively train/promote proper work and safety procedures to all crew members;
  • Record, manage, and maintain the daily and site-specific closeout documentation and paperwork required for the site and the crew;
  • Communicate and interact effectively and productively with the Construction, Operations Management and technical teams to implement all job instructions;
  • Reliability is key to the establishment and must be followed in all procedural steps of the company;
  • Schedule, coordinate and manage materials delivery, site related activities, and subcontractors while maintaining good working relationships;
  • Compile all site-specific closeout documentation for  work efforts at job sites;
  • Maintain and care for all issued tools, equipment, components, and vehicles in an operational condition at all times;
  • Must be able to read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work.

Security and Safety:

  • Criminal records check is required.
  • Driving record check (abstract).


  • Able to speak, read and write English

Terms of Employment:

  • Full-time permanent position
  • Must be willing to travel extensively when needed.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required.
